A tribute to craft, identity, and design made with soul
Since 2019, July 9th has been recognized as Panamanian Fashion Day, a date established to honor the creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural influence of local designers and artisans. It’s more than a celebration of style; it is a national recognition of fashion as a form of artistic expression, cultural heritage, and economic impact. It’s a day that uplifts the hands and minds behind every stitch, pattern, and runway moment.
This July 9th, we celebrated more than fashion. We celebrated intention. Emotion. Devotion. We honored the artistry of Panamanian hands, the vision of local designers, and the craftsmanship that transforms fabric into identity.
For us at Maison Murad Atelier, it was a moment to pause and reflect. Not only on how far we’ve come, but on what it truly means to design from Panama. In a world where fashion often moves too fast, we have chosen another path, one where the process matters as much as the final piece.
Every garment begins with an idea. An image. A feeling. From that point on, it becomes a conversation between art and skill. Each silhouette is imagined not to impress, but to express. Each fabric is chosen not for trend, but for its ability to evoke. From sketch to final fitting, the process is guided by patience, technique, and deep creative conviction.
The Art of Precision
Fashion is often seen as spectacle. But at Maison Murad, it has always been a quieter kind of luxury. We believe in designs that whispers rather than shouts. That reveals instead of performs. It’s in the way a sleeve falls, how a seam carries tension, how a crystal catches the light, not by chance, but by choice.
This level of detail takes time. It asks for presence. It’s why we return to the same line, the same stitch, again and again, until the balance feels just right. We don’t create to meet a deadline, we create to meet a feeling. This is the art of precision. The difference between a garment and a gesture.
To us, fashion is identity in motion. It is an extension of self. And every piece we create is made with the hope that it becomes part of the woman who wears it, not just for a moment, but as a lasting memory.
Honoring Panamanian Design
Being part of Panama’s creative landscape is not just an honor, it’s a responsibility. On Panamanian Fashion Day, we stood alongside designers who are pushing boundaries, preserving tradition, and making space for a distinctly Latin American voice in global fashion.
Maison Murad was born from this soil. Our silhouettes may travel the world, but our roots remain here, in the culture, the craftsmanship, and the bold elegance that defines who we are.
To create from Panama is to carry a story. One of resilience. One of beauty. One of quiet strength. Our work is a reflection of that story, stitched into every piece we send into the world.
To create from Panama is to craft beauty with both heritage and horizon.
With elegance and intention,
Maison Murad Atelier
